TUESDAY, MAY 9th - TGC Inland Northwest Regional Event
On Tuesday evening Bob will be speaking at a TGC Inland Northwest Regional Event for Pastors, Worship Pastors, leaders and team members. This event, with sessions on Pursuing Humility and Rehearsing with the Band, will start at 6:00 pm and be held at the central campus of Grace Christian Fellowship.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 10th - The Spurgeon Fellowship
On Wednesday Bob will be the featured speaker at The Spurgeon Fellowship at Indian Trail Church from 10:30 am -3:00 pm. This conference is open to pastors, elders and men who are training for ministry. Bob will be addressing the topic of The Gospel in Corporate Worship, with sessions on Planning Your Meetings with Purpose and Pastoring Though Song.
Through conferences and seminars, Bob seeks to equip pastors, musicians, and songwriters in the theology and practice of congregational worship. Bob traveled for eight years with the contemporary Christian group GLAD as a songwriter, speaker, and arranger. He continued to write and arrange for the group until 2010, and was a major contributor to The A Capella Project (1988). In 1984, he left GLAD to pursue active involvement in a local church associated with Sovereign Grace Ministries. In the early 90s, he helped to plant what is now CrossWay Community Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was featured on the Integrity’s Hosanna! CD, Chosen Treasure. In 1997, after 12 years of pastoring, Bob moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland, where he led corporate worship at Covenant Life Church and became the Director of Sovereign Grace Music. His book, Worship Matters, was published by Crossway in 2008. He also oversees the production of Sovereign Grace Music albums.
